Clinical Experience
Students are posted to various Clinical area and they are exposed to all the clinical areas including specialized units and the community centres. Strongly guide and instruct them to learn the various aspects which are related to academic. They are expected to co relate and practice nursing as per theoretical knowledge. Clinical supervision is done by trained and experienced clinical instructors, nursing supervisors and staff nurses.
Community Health Experience
The concern students are posted to the community experience including Urban and Rural following the prescribed hours. Is a part of study programme, students are posted in Rural and Urban areas as per the specification of Indian Nursing Council syllabus.
Our Facility
The hostel facilities are provided for male and female students to those who are coming from out station. The charges are revised time to time by the management. However the local candidates are allowed to come from their homes.
The students who are provided hostel facilities must bring their own bedding and bed linen.
Indoor and out door game facilities are provided.
A separate room is provided for the visitors to visit. Time for visit is notified.
Modern up to date library facilities are provided within the building. However each student is encouraged, to buy their I own books.
Trained and experienced librarian is there to help and guide the students.
The total number of books (Latest)are available, numbering over 4,000 volumes of various titles.
Girls students are housed in a girl’s hostel. It accommodates 200 students. Each student is supplied with a bed/cot, table, chair and cupboard. Each Student should bring her own mattress, blanket sheet. Students should not bring valuable jewellery. GPMT’s Institute of Nursing Sciences, Miraj does not take any responsibility for loss or theft.
Men students are housed in the Men's Hostel subject to the availability of rooms.
GPMT’s Institute of Nursing Sciences, Miraj health services is under the direction of the physician and health nurse. Complete physical examinations are done on admission and yearly thereafter.
Immunization is given whenever required. Special drug, tonics, spectacles & dentures are personal expenses.
Any excess leave will be deducted from the annual leave. Minimum amount will be charged for Medical Service, yearly basis.
GPMT’s Institute of Nursing Sciences, Miraj is also equipped with modern teaching facilities. LCD Projector, Charts, O.H.P. slides, specimen, models and films are used as aids in teaching.
Field trips are made in connection with some courses.
Clinical facilities
The clinical facilities of Ushakal is excellent for the study and care of Patients. The hospital has a capacity of 350 beds with all the Clinical specialities. It offers services in medicine, surgery, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, Paediatrics, Medical and Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Mother and Child care block with Neonatal Intensive care unit.
